Frequently asked questions
Here you'll find answers to common questions about Resilient Path Counseling & Therapy, designed to help you understand our approach, what to expect, and how we can support you.
What are the questions people usually ask you *before* they decide to book a first session?
How do I get started?
The first step is to schedule a consultation or initial session. This allows us to discuss your concerns, review logistics, and determine whether my approach is a good fit for your needs.
Do you offer telehealth sessions?
[Yes]
I offer secure telehealth sessions for clients located in Texas. In-person sessions may also be available depending on location.
What kinds of challenges or situations do you most often help people with?
Do you work with anxiety and high-functioning professionals?
Yes. I frequently work with individuals who appear successful outwardly but experience significant internal stress, anxiety, or emotional fatigue. Therapy focuses on increasing awareness, reducing overwhelm, and developing sustainable coping strategies.
For someone new to therapy, what's important for them to know about how it works or what they can expect from working with you?
How long does therapy last?
The length of therapy varies based on individual needs, goals, and circumstances. Some clients benefit from short-term, focused work, while others engage in therapy over a longer period to address deeper or more complex concerns. This can be discussed collaboratively as therapy progresses.
What do you want people to understand about how *you* help them, or what makes your approach to therapy special?
My work is:
Client-centered and relational
Trauma-informed
Grounded in evidence-based practices
Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we explore the underlying experiences, beliefs, and relational dynamics shaping your current challenges. Therapy is a space to build awareness, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop healthier ways of relating—to yourself and others.
I approach each client with respect, curiosity, and the belief that meaningful change happens when insight and compassion meet practical support.
